The Shroud SM1 is designed as a wildland firefighting protective garment for the Bullard Wildland Helmet.
The design allows for increased air flow over the crown of the head when wearing a helmet. This results in the regulating and lowering of accumulating body heat which can help reduce the possibility of heat related illness that can occur on the fireline. The shroud can be easily moved from the ‘open’ position on the helmet to that of the ‘closed’ position around the head and neck within seconds, allowing for an increased response time when moving from a rest situation to engaging active fireline.
